The account is a dedicated data instance intended exclusively for the system administrator.

Download and install the agent

To inventory computers, download and install the eAuditor cloud® agent on the computers.

Optionally you can provide credentials (username and password of a user with administrator, domain, or local privileges). These credentials will be used by the installer during the agent installation process on specified computers.

2

Sending data from the agent to the service

The agent will run as a service (invisible to the user) and will send basic data to the service. This data will not yet be complete. Data completion will occur within 1 hour. If the computer with the agent is not connected to the Internet, the data will be sent and updated in the console after connecting to the Internet.

To personalize the scope of collected data, go to Tools - Configuration - Monitoring and create a new monitoring profile. The Default profile is assigned by default and may not include all elements whose monitoring the user expects. Creating your own profile allows you to precisely specify which data should be collected and reported by the agent.

3

Updating data in the service

The agent will inventory the computer even if the computer is not connected to the Internet; however, the update of data in the service will occur after it connects to the Internet.

Data about computers / users

The service continuously updates detailed data about computers and users. Note that updates do not occur in real time but at specific time intervals that depend on the type of data being transmitted.

1

Detailed computer data

The service will gradually update computer data, which you can view in the respective tabs.

In the case of an on-premise installation there is also an implementation support option that lasts from 1 to 4 weeks for larger enterprises. This includes:

  1. Client needs assessment – At this stage the expert determines with the organization representative the needs that can be addressed by the eAuditor system. Most often these are:

    • Difficulties with remote computer management,

    • Lack of a single system for mass disk encryption,

    • The necessity to use multiple tools for inventory and IT infrastructure management,

    • Lack of control over USB media,

    • Problems with tracking devices in a distributed infrastructure.

  2. Provision of system materials – After determining needs, the consultant provides materials and a DEMO version of the eAuditor system.

  3. Individual presentation – Participants may take part in a 1:1 presentation that discusses system operation based on the client's needs.

  4. Quotation – Based on the collected information a commercial offer is sent.

  5. Offer acceptance – After accepting the offer the implementation process begins.

  6. Defining technical requirements – A meeting with a technician is held to discuss configuration requirements.

  7. System installation and configuration – A technical support representative installs eAuditor and deploys the system environment.

  8. Implementation confirmation – The correctness of communication between system components is verified.

  9. Training – Administrative and end-user training is offered.
