Frequently asked questions.
Versions and licensing
Does eAuditor cloud replace eAuditor On-Premise?
No. eAuditor cloud is a separate product targeted at customers who prefer a service model (SaaS). eAuditor On-Premise will be developed in parallel – both solutions have different target audiences.
On-Premise: system installed locally on the customer's servers, full control over the database, integration within internal infrastructure.
Cloud: the system runs in the cloud, the database and applications are maintained in the provider's environment, access is provided via HTTPS.
You can find more about these differences in terms of functional scope in the comparison of both versions: https://www.eauditor.eu/eauditor-on-premise-vs-cloud
In what model is eAuditor cloud offered?
eAuditor cloud operates in the Software as a Service (SaaS) model:
the software is hosted in the cloud,
the customer gains access through a web browser,
the fee is charged as a subscription (monthly/annual).
Is a free version of the system available?
Yes - eAuditor cloud offers a free FREE version. It enables basic IT inventory and remote access to computers. The version supports up to 100 computers and offers 10 GB of storage (without the possibility of expansion). No API integration.
Is functionality identical across all subscription plans?
No - the differences are significant:
FREE: basic IT inventory, remote access to computers.
INV100 (Inventory): extended inventory, IT monitoring, remote installation, basic security features.
ACT200 (Activity): like INV100 + selected DLP features.
DLP300 (DLP): full DLP features, IT management and monitoring.
Is there a limit to the number of computers covered by the system?
Paid versions have no limits on the number of computers. The FREE version supports up to 100 monitored devices – which is a significant advantage on the market.
Installation and configuration
Is the administrative console installed on a computer?
No, the console is fully web-based - accessible through a browser at a dedicated URL.
Does eAuditor cloud work without Internet access?
Yes. eAgent operates locally, always monitors and enforces security policies, including offline. Internet is required only for management via the web console and data synchronization, which updates after reconnecting to the server.
What are the differences in architecture Cloud vs. On-Premise?
On-Premise: system installed locally on the customer's servers, full control over the database, integration within internal infrastructure.
Cloud: the system runs in the cloud, the database and applications are maintained in the provider's environment, access is provided via HTTPS.
How to install the agent on multiple devices simultaneously?
The agent installation file can be deployed in many ways, e.g. using GPO. Details: link to instructions
Which operating systems are supported by the system?
We support all Windows operating systems currently supported by Microsoft (from Windows 10 upwards). Installation of the agent on older versions is also possible – although without a guarantee of full support.
Does the system allow management of Windows updates?
Yes - the Patch Management feature enables management of patches and updates. The user can quickly identify installed and missing patches and then manage them from the console. This option is available in the ACT200 and DLP300 system versions.
What are the system requirements? How to prepare infrastructure for deployment?
The system runs in the cloud - there is no need to prepare a local environment. Just create an account and install the eAgent service on the workstations you want to manage. Technical details: link to documentation
Are plugins or extensions available to customize the system to an organization's specific needs?
Yes - the system offers extensive configuration and integration capabilities (Microsoft Entra ID, Google Workspace, Teams, Slack, MFA, authenticator apps, etc.).

Are data encrypted at rest and in transit?
Yes – transmitted data are secured using TLS 1.3. Each customer has its own individual certificate, preventing the agent from connecting to another system instance.
Does the system integrate with other platforms? Is an API available?
Yes - we offer an open RestAPI and integrations with popular platforms: Microsoft Entra ID, Teams, Slack, MFA. We also enable login using a Google account.
Does the system use features based on artificial intelligence (AI)?
