# Remote management

After establishing an RTC connection, the administrator can use tools that enable direct management of the remote computer.

Within a single session, remote desktop, terminal, file management, and system processes and services functions are available.

### Remote Desktop

Remote Desktop enables the administrator to view the computer screen and perform administrative tasks on it.

#### User Support

The administrator can choose the mode of operation for the remote computer.

Available options include:

* screen viewing mode,
* the ability to control the mouse and keyboard,
* blocking the user's keyboard and mouse,
* support for multiple monitors.

#### Multiple Monitor Support

If several monitors are connected to the computer, RTC allows them to be managed within a single session.

The administrator can switch the view between the available displays.

#### Clipboard

RTC enables clipboard sharing between the administrator's computer and the remote computer.

This makes it possible to copy and paste content between both workstations.

Depending on the settings, the function may operate automatically or require use of the available clipboard synchronization options.

#### Get and Send

Button **Get** retrieves the current clipboard contents from the remote computer to the RTC clipboard. The retrieved content can then be copied and used on the administrator's computer.

Button **Send** sends the contents of the RTC clipboard to the remote computer. After the data is transferred, it can be pasted on the remote computer.

The functions **Get** and **Send** are useful when automatic clipboard synchronization is disabled and the administrator wants to manually control the direction of content transfer.

#### Keyboard Shortcuts

During an RTC session, shortcuts are available that allow selected key combinations to be sent to the remote computer.

Example supported shortcuts include:

* **Alt + Ctrl + Del**
* **Win**
* **Win + Down**
* **Win + Up**
* **Win + L**
* **Win + M**
* **Shift + Win + M**
* **Win + R**
* **Alt + F4**
* **Ctrl + W**
* **Alt + Tab**
* **Win + Left**
* **Win + Right**

#### Remote Actions

From within an RTC session, the administrator can perform selected system actions.

Available operations include, among others:

* screenshot,
* switch remote desktop,
* lock the screen,
* log off the user,
* put the computer to sleep,
* restart,
* shut down the computer,
* uninstall RTC Agent.

#### Chat

RTC enables text-based communication with the end user during an active session.

The function can be used, for example, when providing remote support to the user.

### Remote Terminal

The remote terminal allows the administrator to run commands on the computer without directly using the remote desktop.

Available are:

* **CMD**
* **PowerShell**

The administrator can run administrative and diagnostic commands directly from an active RTC session.

### Remote File Management

RTC enables access to files and directories located on the remote computer.

The administrator can, among other things:

* browse the directory structure,
* view files,
* download files,
* upload files,
* delete files.

Operations are performed directly from the RTC interface.

### Process and Service Management

RTC also enables monitoring and management of processes and services running on the computer.

#### Processes

The administrator can view currently running processes and monitor their activity.

Available operations depend on the selected process and the permissions granted.

#### Services

For system services, selected administrative operations can be performed, such as:

* stopping the service,
* starting the service,
* restarting the service,
* changing the service operating mode.
