Management

Section Management contains operations related to the organization of devices and their relationships in the system.

Action	Operation
Structure	Assigns selected computers to an organizational structure element.
Users	Assigns a user to selected computers.
Tags	Adds labels that make it easier to group and search for devices.
Documents	Generates handover or return documents for the device.
Delete	Removes selected devices from the system and causes eAgent to be uninstalled.

Assigning computers to the structure

Action Structure allows selected devices to be assigned to the appropriate organizational structure element, e.g., a department, branch, or location.

Assigning a user

Action Users allows an owner and an IT administrator to be assigned to selected devices.

• Owner - the user responsible for the given hardware or using it on a daily basis.

• IT Administrator - the person providing technical oversight of the device and responsible for its management. This information can be used, among other things, when sending group notifications.

After assigning an owner, the computers will be visible in the Assigned.

Adding tags

Action Tags allows you to tag multiple computers at once. Tags can later be used when filtering and organizing devices.

Generating documents

Action Documents allows you to prepare documents related to the handover or return of devices.

Deleting computers

Action Delete removes selected computers from the system, but does not cause the eAgent service to be uninstalled.

Deleting a computer is irreversible. It results in the loss of the ability to continue monitoring and remotely managing the device. Re-adding the computer will require installation of eAgent.

Before deleting a device, check:

• whether the correct computer has been selected,

• whether the device is still in use,

• whether its history and data will no longer be needed,

• whether deletion will not affect running tasks.
